Data Scientist

Aptus.AI's team develops next-generation technologies that revolutionize how people access legal documents by changing how humans and machines interact with regulations. This requires a passionate and multidisciplinary team with a strong DevOps culture and an open-minded attitude that is creative and adaptable.

Our RegTech product, Daitomic, monitors and analyses daily thousands of legal documents from various sources in real-time to help financial companies keep up with regulatory changes and updates. This system handles massive amounts of information and makes it suitable for human decision-making.

We're seeking data scientists who will play a critical role in helping our customers stay up-to-date with regulations and identify new business opportunities. As a data scientist, you'll work on a specific project crucial to Aptus.AI's goals, with opportunities to switch teams and tasks as our fast-paced business grows and evolves. We need our data scientists to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across the platform as we continue to push technology forward.

Your work will be critical in enabling our customers to navigate a complex regulatory landscape and seize new business opportunities. You'll be part of a fast-paced, innovative startup at the forefront of using data science to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

• analyzing the quality of the data, we index and develop strategies to improve it;
• improve our alerting and recommendation system; 
• building and maintaining dashboards that visualize regulatory trends and support our customers' regulatory agenda;
• monitoring and analyzing the usage of our platform by customers to identify areas for improvement and optimisation;
• using machine learning techniques to identify patterns and trends in regulatory data that can inform business decisions;
• collaborating with our development and product team to integrate data analysis into our platform.

Minimum qualifications:

• advanced degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related fields;
• experience with data quality management, data cleaning, and data profiling;
• strong computer science fundamentals;
• excellent programming skills;
• familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools;
• experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms;
• strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• familiarity with the legal and financial domain is a plus;
• experience in building dashboards and reports.
