That's why we are seeking an NLP Applied Scientist to join Aptus.AI, where we are at the forefront of developing next-generation technologies that transform how individuals access legal documents.

As an NLP Applied Scientist at Aptus.AI, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of legal document access. You will work on our cutting-edge RegTech product, Daitomic, which operates in real-time, monitoring and analyzing vast arrays of legal sources. Your role will be crucial in helping financial companies stay ahead of the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced NLP models and algorithms to extract, classify, analyze and generate legal content.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Daitomic's regulatory monitoring and analysis capabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest NLP advancements and apply them to address intricate legal challenges.
• Optimize NLP pipelines to efficiently handle massive volumes of legal data.
• Contribute to the development of a robust NLP infrastructure.

Minimum qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Natural Language Processing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries/frameworks.
• Strong grasp of machine learning principles and methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.
• Strong publications record

Nice to have:

• Publications in top tier NLP conferences or journals (eg. ACL, EMNLP, COLING)
• Prior experience in the legal or regulatory domain.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Previous exposure to DevOps practices and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
